PhotoDeAI Privacy Policy

1. Overview

PhotoDeAI is an Android application that removes embedded metadata from user-selected image files. Processing is designed to occur locally on the user's device.

2. Photos and metadata

The app can access photos that the user explicitly selects through Android system file or photo pickers, or sends to PhotoDeAI through Android Share. Selected files may contain metadata such as EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC, C2PA/JUMBF, comments and provenance information.

PhotoDeAI reads this information only to analyze and remove metadata as requested by the user. The app does not request the device's current location.

3. Data collection and sharing

PhotoDeAI does not upload selected photos or their metadata to a developer-operated server. The current app has no account system, cloud backend, analytics, advertising or telemetry service and does not require the Android INTERNET permission.

When the user explicitly chooses the Share function, Android's system share sheet lets the user choose another app or service. That transfer is initiated and controlled by the user.

4. Storage and retention

Input files remain under the control of the user's selected Android file provider. Cleaned output files are written only to a destination chosen or authorized by the user. The developer does not maintain a remote copy of the user's files and therefore has no server-side retention period for them.

5. Security

Processing is performed on-device. A cleaned output is treated as successful only after the saved file is read again and the app's verification step completes. If output creation or verification fails, the app is designed not to present the incomplete output as a verified result.

6. Accounts and deletion

PhotoDeAI does not provide user accounts and the developer does not store user data on a PhotoDeAI server. Users can delete input or output image files using their device or file provider.

7. Children

PhotoDeAI is not designed for children under 13 and does not contain child-directed features, advertising or social functionality.

8. Changes

If PhotoDeAI's data practices change, this policy will be updated before those changes are represented in the Google Play Data Safety section.
